BOSTON, May 5, 2017 – Duck Creek Technologies announced today the availability of a complete product, Industry Content, for managing bureau circular services within its SaaS solution, Duck Creek OnDemand. The new capability facilitates the circular adoption process by presenting carriers with simple business questions around adopting, rejecting or revising circular changes. Implementation details resulting from carriers’ decisions are taken on by the OnDemand solution team, simplifying how carriers stay current with circular updates.
Duck Creek customers have processed bureau-based business using Duck Creek Industry Content (formerly Templates) for more than a decade. Over that time, the content has expanded to support 45 carriers and eleven lines of business in 50 states and the District of Columbia. In addition, Duck Creek has configured hundreds of program variations within the solution.
Crucial to each carrier’s success has been a combination of the base implementation of ISO, NCCI, AAIS and independent state bureaus’ rates, rules, forms, taxes, surcharges and statistical support, as well as the ability to override, extend and adjust base bureau content to support specific product offerings. Duck Creek’s simplification of bureau circular adoption in SaaS deployments further streamlines the implementation process.
ProSight Specialty Insurance has used Duck Creek’s bureau content since 2014. Through the use of Duck Creek Industry Content, the carrier has been able to easily apply the bureau content to bring products to market more quickly. “The solution gives us a tremendous advantage by regularly getting our system updated with the latest circulars—quickly,” said Darryl Siry, chief digital officer at ProSight. “We have received nearly 1,900 circular updates over the years without the need of our teams doing complex translations or data entry.
