Duck Creek Policy for Business Users

Target Audience

Business Analysts, Project Managers, and other Business Users

Description

Participants experience the functionality and power of the Duck Creek Policy solution while obtaining a foundational understanding of product creation and maintenance using Duck Creek Author and Product Studio.  This course begins with an interactive overview tour of Duck Creek Express and Duck Creek Author. The build-out of a Personal Home product is started with Product Studio providing an understanding of requirement creation, task assignment, indexing, and documentation generation, with emphasis given to the tasks performed by Project Managers and Business Analysts. The product is completed with Author providing participants with an exceptional hands-on experience gaining familiarity with the toolset, terminology, and knowledge especially useful in working with requirements, testing, and managing Duck Creek product development. The course also includes a variety of testing scenarios including the Data Tester function within Author as well as the Automated Testing Center (TAC).

No assessment is given, and no opportunity is given for Duck Creek Author Certification.

Class Size

This course is offered with a DCU Trainer for up to 10 concurrent resources.

Duck Creek Policy Solution Tour

·  Demonstration of the Duck Creek Policy User Interface (Express) and the Policy Dashboard.

·  Demonstration of the quoting process with examples of UI features, defaults, and preset options.

·  Demonstration of TransACT with policy issuance and endorsement.

·  Demonstration of manuscript development using Author.

·  Demonstration of project development and management using Product Studio.

Test Automation Center

·  Take an interactive tour of TAC, utilizing the User Interface to identify screen sections, menus, terminology, etc.

·  Work through the life-cycle of a Test Script and work with Test Scripts, Object Library, and Property Editor

·  Examine the Test Report Log to view test results

·  Work with the Import / Export features of TAC

·  Examine the Batch Runner Tool and how to utilize this feature

·  Learn how to add test objects directly to the test script
